FASHION WEEK

Brisbane Fashion Week was born to fill a gap — a bold, modern platform that celebrates creativity, art, culture, and the future of fashion in our city. More than a runway, it’s a statement. This is where talent meets platform.

This is Brisbane Fashion Week.

Meet the Founders.

Founded by Tanya Bali and Kulbinder Luchi, Brisbane Fashion Week blends creative instinct with strategic edge. With backgrounds in law, fashion, and finance, the duo have built a bold, independent platform reshaping Queensland’s fashion landscape — powered by women, purpose, and vision.

  • Founder

Kulbinder Singh is an author, fashion stylist and senior corporate leader with over a decade of experience in institutional banking at Commonwealth Bank and Westpac, working with some of Australia’s most recognised companies.

Her background spans transactional banking, commercial strategy, and client engagement at scale. Combining corporate rigour with creative insight, she co-founded Brisbane Fashion Week to bridge fashion, business and cultural innovation — and build a platform where local talent can thrive on a national stage.

  • Founder

Tanya Bali is a multidisciplinary creative with a background in corporate commercial law, marketing, and brand strategy. A law graduate and founder of a legal tech start-up, she brings sharp commercial insight to the creative industries.

Tanya has produced fashion events in Brisbane for several years, working with iconic brands like Range Rover, Moët & Chandon, and Ovolo Hotels. As Co-Founder of Brisbane Fashion Week, she leads with a bold vision — fusing business, culture, and creativity to elevate emerging talent and reshape the fashion landscape.

Our Vision.

“Brisbane Fashion Week was born from the belief that Brisbane deserves more — a global stage, a spotlight, a platform that reflects the talent, innovation and cultural depth of this city.

Our vision is to build something world-class: not just a fashion week, but a movement that redefines how Brisbane is seen, celebrated and remembered. We’re here to prove that world-class fashion doesn’t just happen in Sydney or Melbourne — it happens here.”

Bold Origins.

Brisbane Fashion Week launched in 2022 with a clear vision: to create a world-class platform that places Brisbane on the global fashion stage. In its first year, BFW delivered 10 events, welcomed over 3,000 attendees, engaged 300+ creatives and collaborators, and reached more than 1 million people organically.

With no government funding and standout partnerships with Peppermint Magazine, Ovolo Hotels, and international fashion icon Rachel Burke, BFW established itself as a bold, independent force — shaping the future of fashion in Queensland and beyond.

Woven In.

  • We exist to open doors — for emerging designers, creatives, and communities that deserve to be seen.

  • From our runway to our team, representation matters. We create space for everyone, not just the expected few.

  • Bold, original, unapologetic — we champion ideas that challenge, inspire, and move the conversation forward.

  • We’re here to collaborate, not compete. Brisbane rises when we rise together.
